The situation

A retailer's store shows fewer units than its warehouse feed for a popular item. The snapshots were taken at different times, and several customer returns have not completed receiving.

The work

The coordinator aligns the cutoffs, reconciles shipments and return records and prepares a variance explanation showing which difference is timing-related and which item movement remains unsupported.

Can it reconcile inventory across several locations?

The role can compare location-specific records using the identifiers, units and cutoffs you define. Transfers and goods in transit receive their own treatment so stock moving between locations is not mistakenly counted as missing.

Does it perform physical stock counts?

The role works with the count records your warehouse or retail team provides. It can request missing counts, compare results and investigate differences, while keeping recorded physical observations separate from calculations or system estimates.

Can it update inventory quantities?

Your permissions determine which adjustments it can apply and which require review. Each change should retain its source evidence and reason, followed by a check that the intended balance is reflected in the system.
