Vendor Performance Analyst

Know where a supplier needs attention before the next review

Give your procurement team a current view of how suppliers are performing against the measures you agreed. Your bot brings delivery records, service issues and stakeholder feedback together, prepares supplier reviews and tracks the resulting actions. We train the role around your vendor categories and the evidence your team needs to make purchasing decisions.

The job behind the title

Give this work a clear owner.

Supplier reviews lose value when each department brings a different spreadsheet or the discussion depends on the most recent complaint. Your team needs consistent measures, the records behind them and a clear view of whether the last agreed improvement actually happened.

Responsibilities

What your vendor performance analyst can take on.

Use these responsibilities as a starting point. We train your bot for the specific job you need done, including work beyond this example, with your systems, priorities and decision permissions.

01

Maintain consistent scorecards

Gather the agreed operational measures and apply your scorecard definitions. Separate missing data from poor performance so a supplier's results reflect the evidence actually available.

02

Investigate changes in performance

Compare current results with prior periods and follow significant changes back to orders, incidents or service records. Identify recurring issues and prepare the supporting examples for review.

03

Prepare vendor review meetings

Collect feedback from the teams using the supplier and assemble a review pack. Show measured results, open questions and progress on earlier actions in a format your buyers can use.

04

Follow up on improvement actions

Track agreed owners, due dates and evidence of completion. Send permitted reminders and flag overdue commitments before the next review cycle begins.

Illustrative workflow

An example of how the work could run, tailored during onboarding. This is not a customer case study.

The situation

A supplier's delivery score has declined, but the buying team is unsure whether the problem affects every order or one product category.

The work

The analyst checks the agreed delivery measure against the order history, groups the affected records and prepares a review showing where the delays are concentrated.

When something needs attention

If internal changes to promised dates make the score unreliable, the analyst explains the data gap and asks the owner to confirm how those orders should be treated.

03

We keep managing your AI team

Your human bot manager oversees the work, fixes issues and keeps improving your bots. As models, tools and providers change, we handle the technology behind the scenes.

What we help your bot learn

  • What each score means and which records establish it
  • How to compare supplier categories and reporting periods fairly
  • Who can approve corrective actions or commercial changes

How we can review performance

  • Scorecard entries with complete source evidence
  • Vendor reviews prepared on the agreed schedule
  • Overdue actions and issues recurring after reported completion

We agree on targets and review methods together. These are proposed measures, not claimed results.

Before you get started

Questions about this role.

Can this cover service vendors as well as physical goods?

Yes. We define the measures for the work your suppliers perform. A service vendor might be reviewed against response times and completed requests, while a goods supplier might be reviewed against delivery and quality records.

Will the bot decide which suppliers to keep?

Your procurement team makes sourcing and commercial decisions. The analyst supplies the evidence, comparisons and follow-through that help your team make those decisions with a current view of performance.

Do we need a formal supplier scorecard already?

You can start with the records and review process you have. We work with you to agree useful definitions and a practical reporting cadence, then train the bot to maintain that process.
